Big Sister

Bailey is so tired from all her work of caring for Andrew. She follows him around to make sure nothing happens to him. When someone new holds him, she must sniff them to see if they are ok. She hates it when Andrew cries, and she cries too. She is a very protective 'big sister'. She has learned there are a few prime spots to look for Andrew when she re-enters the house: The Pack and Play, The Crib and (her personal favorite for sniffing) The Changing Table. Bailey will be sad because tomorrow morning, Andrew has his first trip to the doctor and she will be separated for a few hours from her 'little brother'.

Hey New World!
Hello, This is me, Andrew. I am at my new home with my new parents. They seem to be taking good care of me. They have a lot to learn and I am a good teacher! They are wearing matching green outfits, but they forgot to show that I match too- silly people. Here's me hanging out catching a few zzzzzz's. Mommy says it's getting late (9:00 is when she is all tired out and ready for bed with me around). I will write you all again tomorrow.

Finally!!
ANDREW PARKER SWAN arrived at 10:22am on Tuesday March 13th. He was 8 lbs even and 19 & 3/4 inches long. The picture in the diapers was taken before he ever wore clothing... He was BRAND NEW!! The other pic is when he finally opened his eyes for some evening visitors after sleeping away most of the day. More about Andrew soon!

The Storms Came...
But Baby Swan didn't. We were relieved on Thursday during the blizzard that we didn't have to try and make it down to the Med Center. It would have been quite a trek, I think. Our Neighborhood has not yet been plowed, but you can get in and out o.k. at this point. I am looking forward to another quiet day of rest and preparation. I have been working on small projects around the house and preparing campus ministry Bible study materials for the upcoming weeks. I am very thankful that there are students who are willing and able leaders! God has blessed the Campus Ministry with fabulous people, and I am excited to see how things work in my absence.
As far as Baby Swan is concerned, I am ready to meet the little one as soon as he or she is ready. I'm still feeling pretty good overall :). Blessings on your day. I hope to hear from you soon!!
